This is my second time photographing the Gringas family. And let me tell you- what an honor. Seriously. This is my first repeat client in Maine. O how I long for more of those.
I got to photograph Amy back in December and then again at the end of April right in time for Mothers Day. This was a gift for her to have so she can celebrate motherhood.
How special is that? I love when other moms value the time they get with their kiddos enough to have it preserved in photography. So important.
Our kids won’t be little forever and we will all wish we had more nicer photos. I honestly miss the days of the standard family tradition of new photos every year.
Maybe it was just my family but my dad had a nice picture with his siblings every year growing up that they hung on the wall. Then that tradition was kept on by him with me.
It is so cool to see my dad grow up each year and change as well as see that in myself. To look at how the hairstyles and fashions evolve as we got older.
It is a time capsule. An artifact. A family heirloom. These things are priceless. They are so precious. Don’t let the business of life or money keep you from documenting it all.
It is so worth it. And I thank every family for trusting me to be the one behind the camera hyping them up and encouraging them to be their most authentic selves.
Happy Mothers day to all my mama’s out there. I posted this session on my instagram and wrote a caption on motherhood. Hope you all enjoy.
