Let’s start at the beginning of my film journey- my high school’s video production class in Orange County, CA. I pitched, planned, filmed, edited and posted the videos within two weeks for two years. I then decided to go to film school in Long Beach.
Funny thing is when I got to film school I was burnt out on video production so I wrote a ton and started taking pictures of everything! Well this led to a switch in my major slightly- now I emphasized in Screenwriting and minored in Journalism!
You might be wondering when photography became a bigger part- I got a summer job at a Christian camp where I was taught everything I know about photo editing. I got really good at taking photos of campers everyday.
Then once I graduated college I decided I wanted to be a travel agent- might seem random right? But I actually studied abroad in Ireland where I gallivanted around Europe with friends and by myself. My love for travel runs deep.
You might remember 2020 right? The lockdowns? Yeah- travel agent idea got shafted and I took my photo side gig and decided to really make a business out of it. I went head first into marketing and getting my name out there in SoCal.
Well, a breakup with some young twenty crises later and I decided I would pack up my car and drive across the country by myself for a month. I visited friends along the way to eventually end up in Mid Coast Maine at my family's “camp”.
What was potentially short term quickly became long term when I met my husband on Bumble and got married after two weeks. Needless to say we are the same kind of crazy. Had a proper wedding 2.5 months later. Also crazy.
Went to Europe for a month on our honeymoon, got pregnant while there, had a baby, and started to move my successful business in California to Maine. It has been a long journey but the biggest leap of faith has been my biggest blessing.
There is also a 50% chance you will see Wyatt during our time working together! He sometimes does video for me when I do photography, is my assistant in all things, and my favorite tag a long supporter! I love him so very much.
To close- my Lord & Savior is Jesus. My faith is very important to me and without God, I am nothing. You absolutely do not need to be a Christian to work with me but know that this is where everything in my life flows from.
MY STORY.
