I have been in Maine for two years now- being part of weddings has given me a preliminary insight to the industry and all that it has to offer. So here are my initial recommendations:
If I was planning my own wedding now here is where I would start and who I might consider hiring! As with any wedding it takes a lot of planning- most people start with a venue but today we are starting with planners- here are my three recommendations…
Now once you get a planner they can help you with all the things that I am going to list- but here are my two cents. The next thing we all want to check off is where we are getting married. After all, we can’t book anyone else until we have a location and date. So here we go…
I know I put 5 but I felt that it was important to put more options- all of these are in the midcoast area as that is where I live and my favorite area in Maine. I am biased but so is everyone. Hope you find something special in one of those venues. Definitely love all of those for different reasons.
Photographer and videographer is obvious- me lol. I mean I am not doing my job right if I make a list of other creatives… sorry but I only give recommendations when I am booked already. Which I do have – not every photographer is the same and there is a lot of things I look for when recommending.

The rest is under construction- come back later
But here we are at hair and make up- there are so many amazing people to choose from – I know that there are lots to consider so here are a few all over Maine that I suggest you hire.
Florists-
The rest of the vendors I am just going to list one per each type as I am not as familiar with all of them.
