I am a Maine extended family photographer who wants to show you some of my favorite images and talk about this session from awhile back!

Another throwback to two summers ago. I absolutely loved when I got a message about needing a photographer for this families whole family while they were on vacation.

I love Pemaquid Beach and it was sweet to document other people enjoying their favorite spot too. Do you have a spot like that for yourself?

What is even crazier is they found me from a flyer I put up in the local shops. One of two people that found me through that method. Wild.

As a photographer in a new place that is a small town- some might say ten years behind everyone else- you have to be creative with your marketing techniques.

I never thought I would be putting posters up as a way to try and get new clients. And it didn’t really breed a ton of success but at least I was trying.

Back to the session, it was a bunch of siblings with their kiddos. How sweet is that- adult siblings wanting photos together and of their children.

So sweet to see. It was a perfect day out and wasn’t too crowded. I love going down to the end of the beach just in case- for more privacy.

This blog post will be sweet and a reminder to book that extended family session as you can split the cost and all get nice photos along the way.

Summer is upon us and it is the absolute best time to do something like this. And dare I say that I am the perfect person to document it.

With an extended family session: make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early! Choose a few colors to wear from a certain color palette- ie pastels, bright, muted and so on! You want to also bring a bag to put everything in!
