You may be wondering why should I go through the hassle of scheduling family photos this year? Well let me just point out the obvious- your family is growing every day- so you can imagine how different everyone will look a year from now- how bigger they will be.

Pitch it as a right of passage, a family tradition, a fun activity. Make it an event. Something hyped up. With lots of joy filled in it. You can ask what color scheme everyone wants- give options and have everyone vote! Let people choose what type of clothes they want- ie dress vs pants.

Now money is always a factor. Put aside money every month. Save for it like you would a concert or a carnival. I recommend $30- heck even book me when you have a couple months saved up. Use that as the deposit. Ask about payment plans!

Once it is on the schedule it is happening. You have planned and prepared for it. Now the actual day can be a challenge. Have all the clothes laid out the night before. Make sure they don’t put them on until right before you leave. And plan to arrive 30 minutes early. You always run late anyway!
